Wear comfortable clothing: jeans or shorts will do. Make sure your shoes have good traction \u2013 sneakers or hiking boots are ideal. Bring a light jacket \u2013 even in the heat of a Colorado summer, the temperature in these Colorado caves is a pleasant 54 degrees Fahrenheit (12 degrees Celsius).<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Front baby carriers are permitted on the Discovery Tour ONLY. Our caves have low ceilings, as well as narrow passageways with over 200 stairs, so strollers and baby backpacks are not allowed.<\/p>

All children must be at least 8 years old to go on the Haunted Lantern Tour, and at least 13 years old to go on the Expedition Crawling & Spelunking Tour<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The cave itself is not wheelchair-accessible because of its narrow passageways and stairs. We can give you a complimentary visit into the Canopy Hall, the first room in the Cave, which highlights beautiful formations. Wheelchair access is available in the Josephine Snider Nature Center, Pavilion, Canyon Rim Grill, Gift Shop, and restrooms.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Cave of the Winds Mountain Park is an exciting Colorado natural attraction that can be enjoyed by everyone in your family, from toddlers to grandparents. Cave tours or rides are not recommended for pregnant women or people with heart or respiratory problems. All family members can enjoy our visitor center, gift shop, and the lovely views of Williams Canyon.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

We are open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. On Memorial Day and July 4th, we are open 9 a.m.-9 p.m. On Christmas Eve we are open from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. (last tour at 1 p.m.). Adventure makes a great gift! Yes, we do sell gift certificates. You can purchase gift certificates either over the phone or by coming into our gift shop in person. At the present time, Williams Canyon is closed to all hiking. Due trail damage from the Waldo Canyon Fire and subsequent floods, the U.S. National Forest Service has deemed it unsafe and closed the area to all hiking.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

You can purchase tickets as far in advance as you would like but booking at least 1-2 days in advance would still give you a decent choice of tour times. However, if you have a large group of 15 people total or more you will need to book at least 10 days in advance.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Tour ticket purchases are only valid for the time and date the tickets are purchased for. The time selected will be when your tour will start, no exceptions<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span> Please arrive at the park at least 20-30 minutes prior to your tour time to give yourself time to park and check-in at the ticket office.<\/p>

Refunds or reschedules online:<\/u><\/em> Refunds and reschedules must be requested at least ONE HOUR prior to your scheduled tour time. Once your tour time for the ticket(s) has\/have passed, your tickets are not refundable.<\/strong><\/span> You may request a refund by providing your 12-digit order number and\/or the email address associated with your ticket purchase. All refunds must be approved by a manager.<\/u><\/span> Rescheduling requests can only be accommodated if there is availability for the time and date you wish to reschedule to.<\/p>
